TOOLBARS
One toolbar is displayed across the top of the application window, below the menu bar, a second (the SIDE TOOLBAR) runs along the right or left side of the screen. The toolbars provides quick mouse access to many tools used in CCS Accounting, To hide or display the Toolbar, choose Toolbar from the View menu (ALT, V, T).
Click To: Open a new COMPANY DOCUMENT. Open an existing COMPANY DOCUMENT. CCS Accounting displays the Open dialog box, in which you can locate and open the desired file. Save the active COMPANY DOCUMENT with its current name. If you have not named the COMPANY DOCUMENT, CCS Accounting displays the Save As dialog box. Presents the REPORTS dialog. Remove selected data from the currently active CONTROL and stores it on the clipboard. Copy the selection to the clipboard. Insert the contents of the clipboard at the insertion point. Go to the first record in the current selection. Go to the previous record in the current selection. Go to the next record in the current selection. Go to the last record in the current selection. Places the current selection in the Add mode. If the Add mode is already active, the current record is saved and the current selection is refreshed and ready to accept entry for another record. Deletes a record in the current selection. This command is disabled while in the Add, Edit or Define Modes. Refreshes all edit changes to the current selection and places the current selection back into the Browse mode. This differs from the Undo Command under the Edit menu which undoes the last edit change to the currently active CONTROL only. This command is disabled while in the Browse mode. Displays the About dialog box for CCS Accounting..
As used above, the term "current selection" refers to the currently active Entry/Edit form. Since CCS Accounting allows multiple Companies and Entry/Edit forms to be open simultaneously, the CCS Accounting program tracks where you are currently working (or where you were working last -- the last location of the cursor or focus). When you select an item such as NEXT RECORD from a toolbar, the next record of the currently active form, within the currently active COMPANY, is accessed (if available) and displayed in the currently active form. For example, if you are working in the CCS Training Program and have opened both the EMPLOYEE FORM and TAGS FORM, and are in the process of editing a TAG when you click the NEXT RECORD, the edit changes made to the TAG will be saved and the next the TAG in the TAGS table will be displayed. The EMPLOYEE FORM will not be affected. If you have "wandered around" a bit and are not sure which form will be affected by a toolbar command, simply note the main window's TITLE, which always displays the currently active COMPANY and form. If you have multiple dialogs open, the currently active dialog will show its normal color in the frame TITLE, whereas inactive dialogs will be shown with a light gray (disabled) color. As you move from form to form, the buttons state (lighted or not) will be updated to reflect the buttons that are available based on the form that is most recently active. If a button is not effecting the form you want, simply position the cursor within the form you want to work with, then retry the toolbar command.
